The idea began in 2004 with a clear belief in biofuels as a driver of greener transport. When Sunoil was founded in 2006, it entered a market just beginning to take shape under the European Renewable Energy Directive.
Over the past two decades, that vision has evolved into a leading European platform for waste-based biofuel production. Through the continuous expansion of our production facilities in Emmen and Kampen, the opening of our trading office in Amsterdam and the development of strong logistics and compliance systems, we have further established our position within the European biofuels market.

As we enter our next phase as a company, we are expending our waste-based feedstock portfolio, further optimizing production in Emmen and Kampen, and strengthening our digital and data-driven capabilities. We continue to invest in people, safety and innovation to ensure we remain ready for increasing regulatory complexity and growing renewable demand across Europe.
We are also broadening our portfolio with a wider range of low-carbon fuels and higher blend solutions, enabling our customers to further reduce emissions while maintaining operational efficiency.
Our ambition remains clear: to lead the transition toward a circular, low-carbon energy system by transforming waste streams into reliable, high-quality renewable fuels.
